Viton® Rubber Gaskets

Viton® rubber gaskets are cut from a high performing flouroelastomer that offers unrivalled resistance to petrochemicals, hydrocarbons, organic solvents and mineral acids compared to other polymers. They provide exceptional thermal stability, good resistance to compression and are commonly used in the automotive, aeronautical, gas and petrochemical industries. These gaskets also offer moderate mechanical strength and provide excellent resistance to weathering, oxidation and ozone, but are not suitable for use with ketones such as acetone or organic acids.
Key Features
- Shore Hardness: 75° ± 5°.
- Temperature: -20°C up to +275°C.
- Excellent resistance to chemicals, oils, fuels and mineral acids.
- Good impermeability to gases.
- Outstanding resistance to ozone, oxidation and weathering.
- Viton® ‘A’ is supplied as standard.
Availability
Thickness (mm): | 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25. |
Gaskets: | Bespoke gaskets and picture frame gaskets available, please send you dimensional drawings. Standard gasket flange tables also available. |
Hypalon Rubber Gaskets

Hypalon rubber gaskets are cut from a high quality material manufactured from chloro-sulfonyl-polyethylene. They provide outstanding resistance to ageing, weathering, abrasion and ultraviolet and are commonly used in exterior sealing applications. Hypalon gaskets offer very high thermal stability and provide moderate resistance to lubricating oils and chemicals. In comparison to other elastomeric gasket materials, they are less likely to degrade when subject to constant UV exposure or unfavourable weather conditions (with the exception of EPDM).
Key Features
- Shore Hardness: 65° ± 5°.
- Temperature: -30°C up to +180°C.
- Excellent resistance to weathering, ozone and ultraviolet light.
- Moderate resistance to lubricating oils and some chemicals.
- Outstanding thermal stability.
- Not suitable for use with aromatic hydrocarbons or ketones.
- Smooth plate finish as standard on both sides.
Availability
Thickness (mm): | 1, 1.5, 2*, 3, 4*, 5, 6, 8*, 10, 12, 15*, 20*, 25*. |
Gaskets: | All standard gasket flange tables are available.
We can also machine bespoke gaskets and picture frame gaskets from dimensional drawings. |
BRITISH SPECIFICATION RUBBER GASKETS
Nitrile Rubber Gaskets – BS2751

Nitrile rubber gaskets – BS2751 are cut from a high quality synthetic elastomer that is comprised wholly of acrylonitrile butadiene. The gasket material provides improved elongation at break, tensile strength and resistance to temperatures due to the quality of the compound in comparison to standard nitrile gaskets. They are a popular option in sealing applications that require resistance to petroleum based fluids, chemicals, greases and oils and conform to British Standard 2751.
BS2751 nitrile gaskets are often used in sealing applications in the aerospace, automotive, chemical and oil industries. We can supply these gaskets in a range of shore hardnesses from 40° to 80° and have the capability to manufacture any standard flange table, picture frame and dovetail gasket utilising highly advanced CNC machinery
Key Features
- Shore Hardness: 40°, 50°, 60°, 70° and 80°.
- Temperature: -30°C up to +110°C.
- Offers improved specification over standard nitrile rubber grades.
- Commonly used in sealing applications that involve petroleum.
- Good resistance to oils and solvents.
- Popular rubber for automotive applications.
Availability
Shore Hardness (°): | 40, 50, 60, 70, 80. |
Thickness (mm): | 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5*, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8**, 10**. |
Gaskets: | Standard flange gasket tables available.
All sizes CNC cut to almost any shape or profile required. |
Neoprene Rubber Gaskets – BS2752

Neoprene BS 2752 rubber gaskets are cut from a high quality, synthetic gasket material that is manufactured in accordance with British Standard 2752. The material is wholly polychloroprene and provides improved resistance to temperatures, greater elongation at break and better tensile strength when compared to standard neoprene rubber gaskets. BS 2752 gaskets are a popular option in external sealing applications as they maintain their flexibility over a broad temperature range and provide good chemical stability.
Key Features
- Shore Hardness: 40°, 50°, 60°, 70° and 80°.
- Temperature: -30°C up to +120°C.
- Complies with BS2752.
- 100% polychloroprene (CR) compound.
Good tensile strength, elongation at break and abrasion resistance
Standards
- Manufactured in accordance with BS 2752 for chloroprene rubber compounds used in general purpose applications.
Availability
